Preclinical studies show high uptake in the brain with antitumor activity.” On the other hand, Berubicin, “a novel anthracycline that is the first anthracycline to cross the blood-brain barrier and is designed to concentrate in tumorous tissue within the brain, is currently entering a potentially pivotal Phase 2 study for GBM.”
