Data Analytics Finds Disparities in Pregnancy Outcomes
Data analytics shows that ethnic and racial minority patients with systemic lupus erythematosus are disproportionately affected when it comes to pregnancy outcomes, despite the improvements seen over the last couple of years. In a press release, Bella Mehta, a rheumatologist at Hospital for Special Surgery and the lead author of a recent study, stated that these improvements were more apparent in some groups in comparison to others, explaining that Hispanics and African Americans still had poor pregnancy outcomes.
