Spanish Clinical Trial to Explore Marijuana as Glioblastoma Treatment
A major marijuana company has announced that it will begin supplying cannabis to a Spanish clinical trial investigating marijuana’s potential as a glioblastoma treatment. Tilray Brands subsidiary Tilray Medical will sponsor an upcoming clinical study to test whether marijuana can treat glioblastoma, one of the hardest-to-treat types of brain cancer. The study will be conducted by Complutense University of Madrid and Spanish Neuro-Oncology Research Group (GEINO) scientists at Madrid’s University Hospital.
