US CDC Broadens Ebola Travel Ban to Include Green Card Holders
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the U.S. has extended the recently issued travel ban on individuals who have been to Uganda, South Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) during the past 21 days to now include green card holders. The reason given for this broadened ban is to prevent the disease from being brought into the country by legal permanent residents. The previous travel ban had excluded U.S. citizens, green card holders and other nationals and was to be in effect for 30 days.
