Fibromyalgia is an acute illness that can present as cognitive dysfunction, lack of energy, intense fatigue and abnormal pain among other symptoms. • Whether insurance will cover the appointment
• Whether the appointment will include video and audio or audio alone
• Whether they will need to provide information about blood pressure, weight, etc.

Telehealth appointments not only alleviate the strain of having in-person visits but also protect patients from contracting diseases that can aggravate fibromyalgia or bring about flares in the long term. In addition to this, telehealth appointments seem to be a solid trend, with a 2020 survey finding that more than 80% of individuals had a higher chance of choosing healthcare providers who provided telehealth appointments.
