MSK Oncologists Share Approaches to Raise Survival Rates Among Soft Tissue Sarcoma Sufferers
Research has shown that nearly 50% of patients suffering from soft tissue sarcoma develop lung tumors. Presently, pulmonary metastasectomy, which is the surgical removal of lung tumors, is the primary treatment option for the disease as effective systemic treatments for metastatic soft tissue sarcoma are scarce.
